Ingredients

1. 2 cups flour plus 2 Tablespoons flour
2. 2 cups sugar
3. 1 teaspoon cinnamon
4. ½ cup butter
5. 1 cup water
6. ½ cup shortening
7. ½ cup buttermilk
8. ½ teaspoon baking soda
9. 2 eggs
10. 1 teaspoon vanilla
11. 2 cups peeled and chopped green apples

FROSTING

1. ½ cup butter
2. 6 Tablespoons milk
3. 3½ cups powdered sugar
4. ½ teaspoon vanilla
5. ⅛ cup caramel sauce (I use caramel ice cream topping)
